More photos at the ocean. But this spot has three stacks and a rock.

Sunset on the beach. Glad I didn't see any moons.
Dinner with Daniel Boulud
Last week I had the opportunity to photograph an exclusive dinner and wine pairing at Napa Valley Reserve that was part of La Paulée de San Francisco’s Burgundy Week. Chef Daniel Boulud, owner of three-Michelin-starred DANIEL in New York City, Christopher Kostow, executive chef at The Restaurant at Meadowood in Napa Valley (also with three Michelin stars) and Jean François Bruel, executive chef at DANIEL, were some of the talent displaying their skills at the dinner. Part of the event was also showing off "The Dalmore Selected By Daniel Boulud" whisky, which was a focus of my work that evening.

French winemakers Dominique Lafon, left, of Domaine des Comtes Lafon in Meursault, and Eric Rousseau, of Domaine Armand Rousseau in Gevrey-Chambertin, supplied some of their rarest wines for the event.

Taproot
One of the ways I'm keeping myself busy -and trying to give back a bit- is by doing some pro bono work with the Taproot Foundation. I recently photographed one day of their week-long Global Pro Bono Summit in San Francisco.
Highway 395 and the Eastern Sierras
Christina and I recently took advantage of California's drought to road trip down Highway 395. Bodie State Park, Travertine Hot Springs, Mono Lake, Convict Lake and camping near Mt. Whitney outside of Lone Pine. This whole region had been off my radar, but now that I've seen it, I can't recommend it enough.

California drought
The drought has been pretty serious in California this year. I was very happy to make pictures for Earthjustice as they told the stories of some of the people affected by the state's water issues. You can read it here.

I'm pretty sure this guy wasn't supposed to be down there, but I'll still use him for my photo.
